Biography

Mr Davies is a nationally renowned clinical nurse specialist and is the lead nurse manager for the vascular-led Gloucestershire Leg Ulcer Service. He originally graduated in Coventry, UK as a registered nurse in 1989 and subsequently achieved a BSc (hons) in tissue viability and an MSc in wound healing and tissue repair. He has worked within the field of leg ulcers for nearly 20 years and prior to this spent 10 years as a tissue viability nurse specialist. He has a passion for venous leg ulcers and has developed a competency-based training module for healthcare practitioners and has previously organised a national symposium on chronic venous leg ulcers in 2016. He has twice been a winner of the Venous Forum prize and has presented on both sides of the Atlantic as well as publishing several papers and a book chapter.
